The Walmart Corporation announced big news Thursday, Sept. 21, 2006. They have unveiled a new prescription drug program which offers a list of 291 generic drugs which they will sell for $4.00 for a 30 day supply.4
Wal-Mart also said it is lowering prices on more than 1,000 over-the-counter medications to $4 or less. It said the discount drug program has saved Americans more than $1 billion since it was introduced in 2006.5
some pain killers are strictly controlled meds. Some people have reported being unable to get controlled pain killers anywhere outside the state where the doctor is who wrote the prescription.6
