Triple Crown Winners
Winners in the prestigious California Triple Crown are the elite Long Distance Bicyclists in California since they have completed at least three Double Centuries in one calendar year. This site was created by Chuck Bramwell, the Executive Director of the California Triple Crown, to provide you with the latest information on these challenging events!!1
In hitting, a Triple Crown winner must lead the league in batting average, home runs, and runs batted in. In pitching, a Triple Crown winner must lead the league in wins, earned run average, and strikeouts. Here’s a quiz on the Triple Crown winners.2

Award-winning Corvettes is nothing new to the ProTeam crew, who achieved nine Gold Spinner awards, of which five qualified and won Triple Crown awards, during last year’s Vettefest. The six “cream of the crop” 2007 Triple Crown winners and nearly 200 additional pristine Corvettes are on display in two locations six days a week at ProTeam’s showrooms.4
There have only been 8 Triple Crown winners since Omaha. A record four horses would win it in the 1940’s (Whirlaway - 1941, Count Fleet - 1943, Assault - 1946, and Citation - 1948) and then not another winner until 1973.5
In Triple Crown history, a total of 47 horses have won two legs and just missed being a Triple Crown winner. Of those, sixteen have won the Kentucky Derby and Preakness Stakes only to be beaten in the Belmont Stakes and denied Triple Crown winners history.6
