The Strangers

The Strangers have been added to the bill for Crumbs Night Out to take place on Thursday, April 24th. This is a collaboration between Crumbs radio, which presents the best in local music on the internet and The Linda, which is WAMC’s performance venue.1

“The Strangers” is a suspense thriller revolving around a couple (Liv Tyler, Scott Speedman) in a remote suburban house who are targeted by three dangerous masked strangers. The resulting clashes force the couple to go well beyond what they thought themselves capable of in order to survive.2

They left a friend?s wedding reception and returned to James? family?s isolated vacation home for a night of celebration with champagne, rose petals, and candlelight. The Strangers plot takes a terrifying turn, though, at 4 a.m.3

In 1964 they supported Colin Cook and released an LP called Colin Cook and the Strangers. Charting songs in the Stranger’s own name included their first single Cry Of The Wild Goose (an instrumental by Terry Gilkyson) / Leavin’ Town which was released in January 1963 and reached number 12 on the Melbourne charts.4
