In the Heights details three days in the life of Washington Heights a colorful, tight-knit community at the top of the island of Manhattan. Through the music the story develops and the audience is able to feel the hopes and dreams of three Latino generations as they try to establish an identity for themselves in a neighborhood on the brink of transition.1

Washington Heights has become a noted neighborhood of great Art. Located in historical Highbridge Park, this one night film festival is a great way to bring together members of the community and movie lovers to enjoy a night of quality short films.2

On Monday December 1, 2003, young Timmy Kelly was inducted as an honorary member of the Rockledge Fire Co. Timmy played an integral part in the opening ceremonies at both the RFVC 100th anniversary banquest and muster held last year. Timmy has also becomethe official National Anthem singer for the Philadelphia Eagles, Flyers and the RVFC.1

Expect to see the Moshulu jig right off its moorings. You can also hear an amazing special performance by blind singer Timmy Kelly, who has become a fixture of Philly?s St. Patrick?s Day Parade.2

On February 1, 2005 11-year-old Timmy Kelly performed the national anthem for Philadelphia Eagle’s fans at this year’s Divisional playoffs. Quite an extraordinary occasion for any child, but Timmy has cerebral palsy and has been blind since birth.3

Planning began three years ago for Timmy?s Town Center, a children?s museum for Northeastern Pennsylvania to honor Timmy Kelly, a child who died at age 5, according to an executive summary. The Board of Trustees of Timmy?s Town Center has worked for more than three years on the creation of a new children?s museum for the gathering Scranton area.4

People like Timmy Kelly are gifts to a world that needs to hear his song and learn to sing again. Timmy keeps singing because his song echoes through the ages and enters into the eternal.5

LITTLE Timmy Kelly isn’t so little anymore. The blind Bustleton kid with cerebral palsy who can sing his heart out (and has, for the Philadelphia Eagles, for President Bush, for Gov. Rendell) has been a nice little local story since 2001 when he sang a rousing “Star-Spangled Banner” at the first home game of the Camden Riversharks as a tiny 8-year-old.6
