There are more than 2,800 students enrolled in fifty-eight undergraduate, forty-eight graduate, and two doctoral programs in the arts, sciences, business, education, clinical studies, and social services. The University’s combination of historic Gothic buildings and modern facilities is the setting for innovative academic programs.1

In addition to over 30 areas of specialization leading to five bachelor’s degrees and five masters degrees, OLLU also has the only Master of Social Work and the only Doctor of Psychology in South Texas. The university now also offers a Doctor of Philosophy in Leadership Studies.3

The Campus Activities Office sponsors events throughout the year and works with more than 40 student organizations. Campus Ministry serves the entire University and offers Masses and prayer services on campus as well as off-campus retreats.5
The University offers 58 undergraduate degree programs, 48 graduate degree programs and two doctoral degree programs. Degrees are offered in education, social work, business, leadership studies and a variety of other areas.6
A woman who was inside the building when the fire started told News 4 she did not smell any smoke prior to being evacuated. The student said they didn’t think it was anything serious until they got outside and “saw the flames shoot up from nowhere.”7
