Nita Ambani, 41, India’s first industrial family’s bahu (The Reliance Group is the country’s largest business house with total revenues of over Rs 99,000 crore) energetic president of the Dhirubhai Ambani Foundation, who is passionate about healthcare, education and dance, traces her ability for hard work back to her childhood. She did not always live in a modern mansion, surrounded by exotic blooms, in Mumbai’s most-chic address.1
The city’s A-listers had a busy weekend, attending two high-profile functions to celebrate the marriage of Praful Patel’s daughter Niyati (who will wed Samarth Parekh in Udaipur this weekend). On Saturday night, Nita and Mukesh Ambani hosted an exclusive bash at their residence Sea Wind, while on Sunday, Rama and Venugopal Dhoot had a party for the couple at a SoBo five-star.2
