Indianapolis Mini Marathon
For beginning runners and walkers through the fastest competitors, the Indy Runners Mini Marathon Training Program has a training pace to help you achieve your goal for the 31st Indianapolis Mini Marathon next May. Every Tuesday night, participants in training will meet and start at Historic Hinkle Fieldhouse (Map), lead by experienced pacers along the scenic canal towpath bordering the White River.1
The 27th edition of the Indy MINI is the largest 1/2 Marathon in the United States with over 25,000 participants. The course loops the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, home of the world-famous Indy 500, Brickyard 400 and the United States Grand Prix.2
The plan for the second five miles was to stay strong and steady at a comfortable pace. The highlight of the Indianapolis Mini Marathon, for many runners, is the lap around the famed Indy 500 race track.3
The Westview Healthplex Sports Club Mini-Marathon Training Program is formatted for both individuals participating in the Indianapolis Mini-Marathon May 3rd 2008 and/or the Geist Half-Marathon May 17th 2008. Each participant will be placed into 3 different training groups: walkers/newbies, intermediate runners, and advanced runners.4
