Indiana Election Results

These states combined have the same if not more delegates than Pennsylvania, and could decide the Democratic nominee for President to face off against Republican Senator John McCain in the fall. Bring a friend, eat, drink, discuss issues and witness history in the making!1

Daniels, who left the Bush administration to run, drew on support from President Bush to easily win Indiana’s GOP nomination for governor. Daniels beat out conservative activist Eric Miller.2

Indiana’s Government was modeled after the Federal Government’s. The executive is composed of the Governor and Lt. Governor, the Legislative is composed of the General Assembly and the Judicial is composed of the Indiana Supreme Court, Court of Appeals and circuit courts.3

The Indiana Elections Division doesn’t appear to have a place where they will update results during the night (they do have a link to results, but itappears to be just pdf’s of past results. If anyone in Indiana knows of a source for results by district, speak up.6

However in September 2003 Frank O’Bannon had a stroke and died, resulting in Joe Kernan taking over as Governor. Kernan decided two months later that he would run for Governor in 2004 and was unopposed in the Democratic primary after both Simpson and Andrew dropped out.7
