Atlanta Hawks tickets are now available for the exciting NBA season. Catch all the home games this year at Philips Arena, as the Hawks take on Eastern Conference teams in live pro basketball action.1

The Atlanta Hawks are among the worst franchises in the NBA. The team has not made the postseason since 1999 and has failed to flirt with a winning season this decade.2

Hawks, a National Basketball Association (NBA) franchise and part of the Eastern Conference Southeast Division, have called Atlanta home since 1968. Playing at Philips Arena in the heart of downtown Atlanta, the Hawks join the Braves, Falcons, and Thrashers as professional sports teams in Georgia.3

He also is part of the trade that sent Baron Davis to Golden State. Unfortunately for the Hawks Claxton has suffered through injuries during his time in Atlanta.4

The Hawks’ last winning season came last millennium — in 1998-99. They’ve since worked under four coaches (Wilkens, Kruger, Stotts and Woodson), two general managers (Babcock and Knight), two presidents (Kasten and the guy from Liverpool) and two sets of owners (Time Warner and Atlanta Spirit) without generating even a 42-40 regular season.5

As of the 2006 season, the Atlanta Hawks had only won one NBA title, which was in 1958. Atlanta basketball fans have seen NBA tickets to Hawks playoff games become available in many other years, especially during the late fifties and early sixties, when the Hawks won their four Eastern Conference Championships.6

But the Suns, in one of former general manager Bryan Colangelo’s many shining moments, bluffed the Hawks into thinking they’d match the deal and somehow persuaded Atlanta to part with Boris Diaw and two No. picks in a sign-and-trade for Johnson.7
